You can't beat the Sheraton for the convenience. Price per night basically doubles for Syracuse Univ. special events i.e. move-in, Family Weekend, etc. They actually do a SU lottery for particular weekends, due to the demand. A friend of ours just recently stayed at the Renaissance and said it was great; in fact, all the rooms have been recently renovated. I was also told that the Genessee Grand is a good one to stay at. Prices increase at all the hotels when special events are happening at SU campus.
