Your CR of 470 is a little low. That might not be a problem in your engineering courses but even engineering majors have to fulfill distribution requirements in humanities and social sciences and you might have to devote more time to those courses than you want to or can afford to and still keep up in engineering. Your Math score of 650 is probably pretty high compared to all applicants to Rutgers but is a little on the low side for engineering. However, your aptitude for math may be better than your score reflects. My son just finished his freshman year at CSU Sacramento majoring in Geology. He has to take the same sequence of Calculus courses as the math, physics and engirneering majors but only had a math SAT score of 620. He had to take pre-calculus in the Fall semester and got off to a slow start in Calculus I in the Spring but studied hard and by the end of the semester was at the top of the class, which no doubt contained a fair number of students with SAT math scores of over 700.
