| My opinion would be to get a job and/or create paying jobs for yourself. I would not be inclined to contribute to a fundraiser to fund someone to go to a private summer program. There are ways for you to earn the money through work. You can also create services for pay. You can work part time for this semester, and line up work for the summer weeks when you would not be at Cherubs.
That said, you should look into any local scholarships from arts organizations. Some give money to students for such endeavors. I know my child won a local scholarship that she put toward a summer program one time (didn't pay nearly all of it but was a nice chunk).
You also may find less expensive programs that are of shorter duration. |
