vossron: you are the one misusing the statistics--which is okay, just don't get angry at others for using them as they see fit. I think that the point some of us are trying to make is that these statistics can help a student investigate choices among welcoming schools for a variety of reasons, such as program availabity, ability to double major in two very different fields, etc. It seems as if you would like every NMS to attend Carlton College or some other LAC with a high percentage of NMS, but Carlton College or Wellesley College are only suitable for a very small percentage of students, and, conversely, unsuitable for a very large percentage of NMS students.
