Ok so I just had my Tisch audition. I signed up for a musical theatre audition but made it clear to them in the interview that I'd be just as happy in an acting studio.

I sang my two songs, which were pretty blah to be honest, I don't think I impressed the auditioner in the room with me.

My two monologues were the best I have done them; I'm pretty sure I did my best and the guy laughed at all the right parts and seemed to enjoy them.

The interview went pretty well too, I think. I expressed I would be happy in any of the studios, specifically Playwrights' Horizon and Atlantic.

Overall, I would say I had a decent audition, with the weakest part definitely being the singing.

Does the weak singing hurt my chances of getting into a regular acting studio, or am I hurt by the fact I signed up for a M.T. audition?

Academically I think I fit NYU standards. I got into Georgetown E.A., and have a 1510/1600 on my SATs, 4.0, APs, blah, blah.

If it matters, I'm a guy - there were only 3 other guys there with me at my audition slot, so if that is the overall trend at the auditions hopefully that will help my chances. Though if I still don't in, I must REALLY suck haha.
