Thanks for continuing the discussion. My son is convinced that the BFA path is for him, but I am trying (without pushing) to get him to at least consider the BA at a good LAC as an option. I agree that many LAC kids will come to appreciate a broad education later, but my son, much like Brian's, wants to focus his efforts as much as possible on theater.
BTW, Brian, I believe I may have seen your son at FSU last week. I was down at the end of the hall--moving slowly due to a broken foot--when I heard his name called and saw a very handsome young man in a blazer approach the audition room door. Whether that was indeed him or not, I hope he was happy with his performance and the process, and wish him luck with all of his auditions and applications. I wonder what were his impressions of FSU and the program? This was my son's first actual audition at a college, so we don't have anything to compare it to. We were glad that the letters will be sent so quickly--I think they were to be mailed yesterday. |
