| Hopeful2012er, if my daughter chooses to attend Chapman University, she will NOT be coming home on weekends. She will also not have her car. (We are not commuting distance.) My son never had his car at UCLA! There will be many students who will live on campus seven days a week, so do not worry, you will not be alone! A family member of ours does commute to Chapman, but we are different. Cars are great to have, but the temptation to not get too involved is easier with a car. UCLA has been a dream for our son in every way. Chapman is one of my daughter's dream schools. She loves everything about it. Orange is not L.A. or New York, but it is a "cute" town and you can have fun, and when you want "excitement", some of the friends you undoubtedly will make will have cars. If a "fast environment" is really number one on your list, because I don't think of Chapman as a "fast environment" exactly, there may be a better choice for you. |
