Again, without knowing the specifics of the program that's probably true. There are plenty of highly capable student musicians at Hartt across many instruments and musical genres. Also, plenty of chances to go "outside the program" and find people of like minds.
The only concern might be if a contemporary gutarist not well versed in the jazz style could play at the level required to be competitive in a strong audition based program. |
