IDOC is a integrated veriification system typically used by private schools to verify the information you provided on your FAFSA and Profile. It's basically the "backup" to all the information you provided on the online forms.

The big thing they want is copies of your tax returns, although you there are other hoops you have to jump through. By using IDOC, you only send one packet of information which is distributed to the schools rather than having to individually send information to each school. But some schools don't use IDOC and want you to indepedently send them things like tax returns. You've got to go through all the schools you're applying to and confirm exactly what they want/need and how they intend you to get the info to them.
