well, after job shadowing a few pretty well established arch firms in my area (near sacramento), they told me that they will employ cpslo grads over berkeley. the program is more lax at ucb, and less rigorous than cal poly or other barch programs such as usc, or sci-arch. the architectural studies major is not as attractive to the firms that i have visited.

that's just what i have gathered. after the job shadow, i asked the owner of the firm some questions. i told him that i wanted to go to ucb, but he recommended that i look into cal poly (he was a cal poly grad himself). he makes six digits. easy. pretty good for a small little town like chico.
