Hi! I attended the CMU Pre-College program this past summer for Musical Theatre and it was an awesome experience. I've auditioned for their Musical Theatre program as well as their vocal performance program (they are in two separate/independant schools within the University) and both auditions went extremely well. I would definitely recommend the program to someone serious about spending A LOT of time working on your performance abilities. They consider your grades and essay, so do your best to make them as positive a reflection of you as possible. However, don't be discouraged if you feel you may not be qualified academically as they may find your artistic portfolio/experience outweighs your lack of academic achievement. Also, it is a conservatory program, so your grades will not be a huge factor if you audition there for college.
