| MTgrlsmom, I actually know a very, very talented kid (now in a BFA program for MT) who did get turned down for CMU Precollege. This girl also was a top student. However, I don't think the fact that she wasn't accepted had anything to do with grades, essays, talent, etc. I think she merely sent her application after the progam was already filled. That is why I would recommend that anyone who wants to attend get their packet of materials in ASAP. I honestly don't believe the program is all that competitive, admissions-wise, as long as there is space available. |
