| I wouldn't worry too much about the scores. . .My guess is that they don't really look at them anyway.
My S attended CMU pre-college last summer. It was WONDERFUL and it really gets you ready for the audition circuit. They audition everyone at the end of the program. The summer faculty, plus some that don't do summer teaching, judge. You get written feedback on your audition, so that's really helpful. And, sometimes, students get an offer for admission. Last summer it seems that 2 students got offers--both were MT summer students, one got an offer for MT and one got an offer for ACTING. I do not know if the MT student accepted, but the student who got in for ACTING is going to CMU. This is not a reason to attend the summer program, however. It is a lot of stress, and, really, only a very few actually get accepted. Plus, you would miss the audition circuit! Believe me, that process builds character--both for you and for your parents! |
