| claydavisbc, the actor training at CMU Precollege is NOTHING like children's theater classes. As gjordan said, the classes are modeled on the classes in the actor training and musical theater program there. In fact, if you are lucky, you will get to work with CMU faculty while at the program. (They do have other excellent instructors who do not teach at CMU during the school year, too.) CMU is very actor-training-based, even in its musical theater program. In fact, at precollege, MTs take acting with the straight actors.
Re: your application. I would wait a teensy bit longer to call them if you sent it in two weeks ago and certified mail says it arrived. They no doubt have many applications flooding in and are going through them. Good luck. It's a terrific program. |
