BwayRocks, your D sounds determined and passionate and very, very focused and that is the kind of person it takes (the experts say!) to succeed in this business, so kudos to her. I think everyone involved in the audition process acknowledges that it is far from perfect, and that schools make mistakes and pass over very talented kids who would be good fits for their programs. However, auditions are the only system these schools really have to fill their classes, so we all have to live with it!
Congrats to your D for being so mature and centered. I feel confident that she will end up somewhere perfect for her and where her talents and commitment will be nurtured.
