| Can't remember the exact sequence of words/dates!
It was public knowledge spring of '07 (before the '07 summer Encore session) that the program wasn't assured for summer of '08. We heard the "news" from several with ties to CIM, Curtis, Meadowmount, etc. at that point. I understand that there was a nice tribute given to the Cerones at the final Encore concert of summer '07. (hint, hint...)
I think I remember looking at the Encore tab on the CIM website last fall ('07). I believe that at that early point it said the program was "in hiatus" for summer '08. There should have been time for string students to research alternative summer programs. Encore was never an assured acceptance in any case - anyone interested probably knew to have a back-up plan! |
