| My D is also applying for violin performance. I think Northwestern and Univ. of Mich. determine whether you are academically eligible first before scheduling the audition. We were told by Blair at Vanderbilt that they audition first and if you're accepted by Blair they then forward the file to Undergraduate Admissions. They then determine whether the applicant is "admissible." They also noted that about 85% of those forwarded files are determined to be admissible as music school applicants tend to perform well academically. |
