I have personal knowledge of the Peabody/JHU relationship. Peabody strongly discourages dual degrees and only accept about 2 to do both in any given year. You must be accepted by both institutions separately and then both must agree that you can do a dual. Very stringent test. Once in the program, it is unusually difficult because of (a) the distance between the two campuses and (b) the completely different scheduling system which makes you feel you need to be in two places at once. If you want a dual degree, I think almost anywhere else would be a better choice!
