| Well from what I gathered it's not extremely tiny, but compared to the few hundred actors I guess it seems to be. I'm not sure how many they accept a year but I know sometimes the actors double major with the BA in performance and then some other aspect of design or management. I believe that if the actors don't get cast in the mainstage than they can always work on crew and stuff. You could send an email to the admissions department about the size and stuff of that aspect of the department.
The department as a whole is top notch and makes for good connections and work opportunity once you graduate through the professors that teach there; students intern all around the city. I'm guessing that if the management program is structred anything like the BA performance program, then you would be allowed to work on a show outside of the school like the actors can. Again you'll need to ask someone who knows for sure! Perhaps try searching on Myspace or Facebook for a student that goes there and see if they'll chat with you a bit, best to hear it directly from them. Good luck! |
