| OK, folks, here is the word from CMU admissions about the "file pulled" stuff on the online tracker. In a nutshell, it does NOT give a person any indication of what the likely final outcome will be, and is the result of whether a computer automatically "pulled" a file (whatever that means) or whether a human is handling it. Read here:
Please rest assured that the "file pulled" notation on the Where Am I in the
Process page is just triggered by an internal processing code. It has no
correlation to the ultimate decision on a student's file. Some students
have the code, and others do not, simply because some students have files
that are automatically pulled by the computer (triggering the code), whereas
other files are pulled by hand (these students would not have a code).
Regardless of how a file is "pulled for review," it is reviewed in the same
way, and there is no significance to whether a file is pulled by hand or by
the computer. Every applicant's file is pulled at one point or another!
Just thought I would put all our minds at rest ... as if that was possible!!!! |
