racmom, I am not even sure that's true, though that is the "word on the street."
From what I have been able to piece together, it seems that several girls who were admitted last year could not, for various reasons, take their places in this year's freshmen class, so they deferred admission and will enter as freshmen (freshwomen?
) in the Class of 2012. But again, this is all conjecture. The only people who know for sure are the faculty and administrators at CMU.
