Unfortunately, my kitchen still has Formica countertops in a light peach color that stain VERY easily. If I set a coffee cup down on it that's wet on the bottom from coffee drips, it leaves a ring. If I drip any kind of red sauce on it, it stains. If a blueberry or strawberry leaves juice on it, it stains. If an aluminum pot or pan grazes it, it leaves gray scratch marks. The only thing I've found to remove these stains and marks is Clorox Liqui-gel. I squirt a little bit directly on the ring or stain, let it sit for a few seconds, then wipe it up and it works like a charm. It's non-abrasive so it's perfect for Formica.
