| My teacher went to UT-Austin as an undergrad and has had nothing but good to say about the school and the city in general. I really liked the school when I visited (as a prospective transfer) - it had the best practice room situation of any school I've been to.
This donation does seem a deliberate attempt to one-up Indiana and the Jacobs donation there. The rhetoric about being the "finest public music school in the nation", which UT-Austin says it's trying to achieve, was all over Indiana when I auditioned there. |
