Those of you that applied to transfer to Columbia, post here!

Current University: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Year: Freshman
Major: Physics, math
GPA: 3.91
High school: Acton Boxborough Regional HS, Acton MA
HS Gpa: 3.3-3.4 ish unweighted, 3.8-3.9 ish weighted out of 5.
SAT I: 2170, Math 800, English and CR 680/690
SAT II: Math IIC 780, Chem 770, Bio E 680
APs: took 7 of them, got 5s on six of them (5 on BC Calc, CompSci AB, Chem, Stats, Physics B, and English Lit, 3 on US Hist.)

Reason for transfer: There's only 20 physics majors, so really easy research opportunities. Math department is much better. New York City, duh! Beats the cornfields of Urbana any day.

Where else are you applying for transfer?
MIT, Stanford

We could post essays too, if people want! That'd be fun, I think.
