I fail to see how I am acting ungrateful. I am eternally indebted to Duke for helping me out the way they are and by even admitting me in the first place. However, this doesn't tie me to Duke permanently. I can still go somewhere else if I want to, and doing so would not mean that I am not thankful.

And I agree that the plane ticket costs is a weak argument, so I will drop that. Still, I think that the city of Durham is a compelling reason to transfer out. The city is dangerous and offers nothing, at least in my eyes.
