i don't know why they can't accept the certificate or passport...gosh, it is still a proof....have u received an award letter from any school? this advisor at my community college told me to go to SS office and show them my passport and get a receipt verfiying that im a citizen....so then i'll take that receipt to the college and then they will be able to give me a letter...
