| Nash, although i don't agree with the statement that the only students who seem to get accepted "everywhere" are non-white, I do believe that it may be easier to "stand out" as a student of color or a different ethnicity. Maybe because we aren't the one in a million blonde haired, blue eyed kids to audition. Or the beautiful brunettes which are a dime a dozen. I would think it actually would be harder to stand out in either of these two scenarios because there are just so many more of you. I am ethnic. I stand out. There is no doubt about it. Maybe that has helped, I am not really sure. I guess it's easier to remember that one great "purple" girl if there were only a small percentage of "purple" girls auditioning. I would think at CMU as with most schools, they are looking for a class that is diverse in many respects and that need is something that most likely changes from year to year. It's probably best to know the odds, do your best, and not worry about what this school or that may be looking for this year. By the way, I was not offended by your comment. I know you meant no harm by it!
