This is exacly what I was referring to. It is so methodically calculated. I would send my kid to the LAC which is geographically remote if my son were enthusiastic, but it would need to be worth our while. 2k is not worth our while for the inconvenience. We are not even ahead if we add in time lost from work, gas, wear and tear on our car, plus hotel, to drive his things (12 hours each way minimum) to and from the school (at least freshman year).
