| The Scoop: Straight from the CMU Admissions Office
Ok, I am no longer afraid of calling Admissions Offices. I have been pleasantly surprised to find they are actually really nice, in spite of me calling to ask the same question they've been asked a hundred times. But considering the "plethora" of conflicting information we've all heard, I decided it was time to go straight to the source.
I just finished speaking with a very kind woman in the admissions office, and she verified that yes, the letters have been going out all week. She said there's no rhyme or reason as to the order the letters were sent out, it was just a matter of not being able to process them all in one day. She offered to check and see when my D's was mailed, and it was sent out on Wednesday.
She said that decisions will be available online on the "Where Am I In The Process" page within 3-5 days of the MAILING date of your letter. Therefore, if it went out on Monday, you might be able to view it online somewhere between Thursday and Saturday. For my D's, it should be available online anywhere between Saturday and Monday. Therefore, based on the way the mail tends to come to my house, we'll probably know online over the weekend long before the letter ever arrives! |
