- Counselor Rec: Probably good
- High School Type: Totally non-competitive public. Sends people to Hopkins regularly though...
- Ethnicity: White

Other- Extracurriculars: Bland

- Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?: Well, I have to say that holistic admissions can be frustrating. After applying it's not like one can say "Well, this is what I did wrong, and I need to work on XYZ. But nonetheless, I never won any major awards, nor did I start applying myself academically until mid-way through my junior year - and my class rank reflects that.
Nonetheless, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed to get rejected by all of "target/reach" schools, since I felt like I had some redeeming qualities from the get-go that would get me in to some competitive school.
When I get down about it, I just try to remember that there are students out there who have been working their entire lives in academics to get to this point - and find an accepted letter. I've only been really taking the hardest classes possible my Junior and Senior years, so I have no one to blame but myself
Good luck to everyone who's going to Johns Hopkins next year. |
