| My D was not impressed with Ithaca. We did try to push for a better financial offer but with no success. We were told merit was limited to $13k (if my memory is correct) and there was no more flex.
My D got a decent merit from NYU and was also told there was room for improvement. They clearly wanted my D. One of her teachers was there and the dept head also knew her from a summer program. We did not pursue the financials. NYU was my D's second choice and the first worked out. My D was concerned about the distractions of living in NYC. She has a shoe shopping addiction.
