It is such an honor to know that some posters are keeping an eye out for the results of our kids' efforts. Thanks!! We just returned from the Tulane Honors weekend. He really enjoyed having dinner with chemistry faculty and getting a tour of their labs. The grad students are really happy there as well, which was another plus. He was flattered, if not a bit awe-struck, that the admissions people knew him by name when he walked up to register. I think he is feeling "wanted" at Tulane which is nice as well. In addition, they are very clever. The arranged an opportunity for the visiting students to meet with faculty advisors and set up their first semester schedule. So, once he makes the final decision and sends in his proof of immunizations, he can pre-register for classes. That's pretty nifty. So, all in all, it looks like he is headed to NOLA! |
