GPA: weighted, unweighted.. who knows? I've maintained about a B+/A- average all four years of high school.
ECs: art, volunteer, field hockey, internships, newspaper
Hook? I was myself and a good match for Reed I suppose...
No but really, if I could give any advice for people planning to apply next year it would be to definitely have an overnight before applying. Make friends with as many people in admissions as possible. Be prepared to blow away your interviewer. The writing is extremely important. My standardized testing scores were pretty below the average for Class of 2012, but I am pretty sure it was my writing samples and personality that saved me. |
