80 miles is still totally commutable over weekends and whatnot, so you'd still be able to see your GF. yeah, it's not the same, but like you said, you have your heart set on Education.

Leaving everything behind isn't completely a bad thing though. If you're the kind of person who can stand on his own two feet, you'll grow exponentially from the move. Also, to put a positive spin on the situation: you'd have a lot less distractions from your academic life.

One of the main reasons I commute to De Anza / Foothill is because I didn't want to go to "13th grade" at my local CC. One of the best decisions I've made yet.

How's your financial situation? Could you easily afford this move?
