Do you know what area in economics you are interested in? Bryn Mawr's economics department focuses mainly on "public" economics - they offer courses like Public Finance, Taming the Modern Corporation and Environmental Economics. We have a strong philosophy department but some philosophy majors complain that the department focuses solely on modern Western philosophy - we only have intro courses in ancient philosophy and no courses at all in e.g. Asian philosophy.

Majors in both subjects benefit from the cross-registration program with Haverford. Haverford's economics department focuses more on the corporate aspect of economics (corporate finance, accounting etc) and their philosophy department offers courses in non-Western philosophy. Haverford is just a mile away and the regular shuttle service makes it easy to take classes there.
