I just wanted to give everyone a little bit of info regarding the scholarships at boco! I called the Tuesday after acceptances went out to discuss my financial situation and was told that the scholarships that were awarded to students who do not commit to boco WILL DEFINITELY be reawarded and the BEST thing to do is to call the Admissions Office (not financial aid office) and request to be put on a scholarship waiting list.
I called and spoke with Kristy Ererra and she was EXTREMELY helpful and kind and notified me on Friday that I was given an annual 7,000 dollar scholarship!!!

It's worth a shot!

I know already of a few students who were awarded very LARGE scholarships who have rejected their spot at boco and are attending other programs. CALL CALL CALLL and see what they can do for you! They are extremely helpful!

Dramamama- I am so sorry your D is in that position I am sure the anxiety is overwhelming! I will definitely keep her in my prayers! I know of three girls so far who have committed to other schools and as far as I know they have already confirmed that with boco. I heard that they accepted a bit more than they had room for.. and waitlisted about 30. My biggest recommendation is to have your D call the school as much as possible and speak with as many people as possible to make that acceptance happen! Follow up phone calls with e-mails and reallyyy get across to the faculty how badly your D wants this. She may also be able to find out where she is on the waitlist by calling, to give her a better idea of her chances. BEST OF LUCK!!
