Go ahead and read Slophil's post. He/she stated "Collegemom is an idiot." He started the war, not me. He is a 'new user.' However, I imagine since he never posted again, he probably made a new account or was a CC regular and just wanted to be mean to collegemom, for an unknown reason. Slophil is a new user and clearly uninformed about SDSU, so making numerous strong erroneous statements was a measure of his ignorance.

If the user simply posted, "I don’t understand what everyone means by the acceptance rate being 44%" that would be okay. It would also be okay to mention his many other fallacies, but it is not okay to call another regular user an idiot. And by starting his post that way, he stated very clearly that he did not deserve the respect I give every poster on this forum, whether that person is right or wrong in the statements that were made.

For the record, Archileta's post was days after mine. Archileta even stated in an edit that he/she noticed the confusion was already settled and that his comments were repetitive. Arch answered the specific question of the acceptance rate, as did I, but I posted out of defense for collegemom, not because I really cared about any misconception of the yield rate at SLO. Heck, I did not even apply nor did I want to go to SLO. I am just not a big fan of flamers, or users backing up flamers.

So, thank you Sora for allowing me to defend myself, and further pointing out Slophil's ignorance.
