| It actually depends on when you apply. If you apply in September you have a better chance (MUCH) of getting in with a 3.1/1050 than if you applied in February. Those scores would probably get you rejected after about January, because the class is starting to fill up then and they only let in late applicants if they're really awesome mostly. Quite often, I've seen people get deferred for several months with anything less than a 1100 and 3.2, especially out of staters. If you don't hear back from Auburn within 6-8 weeks (after October 1) you've probably been deferred, but they will let you know at the latest by February 15. Additionally, you should know if you are anticipating a scholarship at all, you must have at least a 28ACT/1270SAT to qualify for most scholarships in addition to a 3.25 GPA. The good scholarships you must have 30 ACT (I'm not sure of the SAT, maybe 1350?) and 3.5 GPA. Occasionally people with 27ACT get scholarships (the leftover money that comes up around feb/march) but I wouldn't count on it. And honestly, Auburn doesn't really care how awesome your clubs are. They are 95% interested in SAT/ACT and GPA; also, if you are a minority. |
