The vocal lessons you take will in no way be remedial. I take voice lessons with Patti Raine who also does voice lessons with the Musical Theatre majors. It's always challenging and I had done tons of musicals. That being said, taking voice lessons is not a part of the minor program, it's just something extra you do. For the minor, you have to audition, but if you get in it only adds a class or maybe two, per semester. I couldn't tell you how they're going to be because I haven't taken them yet. Next semester, I'll be taking a vocal coaching class. No matter what though, I always try to learn from everything I do. It's good to go back to the basics either way! |
