Earning $3000 and netting $3000 is quite different. If she goes to school B, she could have the freedom to pick a job/internship she likes w/o considering the $$. Otherwise, she has to come home and find the best pay job.

I will have not problem paying for school B, a dream school for most of the HS students. It probably not be for the entire 2.4 million of them, but pretty close.

The bottom line is that we love our DD and we love our wallet. It is difficult to pay more for a lower ranked school from our point of view. Let's hope DD will develop a love for School B when we visits.
