I am fed up with UMass I have called and emailed so many times with nothing. I started emailing the Department Chairs trying to figure out what is going on with my daughter's application. Same story as many here. Applied in November. My daughter was set up with two accounts one with transcripts and one with SATs. They finally were combined in February and have been "in review" every since.

How can it take 2 months to review an application. The only reason that we are waiting is that if she can qualify for a State tuition waiver school would be free. I guess you get what you pay for.

But they did send me an email that they received 32,000 applications which is amazing that if the 71% acceptance rate is accurate that means they accept apprx. 20,000 which is the current size of the entire school. Maybe they are hoping some of the applicants will just disappear.

I just emailed the director of admissions, Kevin Kelly, to see if he can give any insight.
