| As a parent, I would say you need to make a firm choice, tell them with conviction, and state your reasons clearly and concisely. Then you need to respect their financial limitations. If you decide Wash U, and you feel very strongly about it, you might offer to take loans for the extra cost that you will pay off yourself. If you make that choice, don't bluff, you need to mean it. That said, most parents will cave at that point :-). |
