| IU Jacobs has a very respected contemporary composition department with supporting ensembles and very rigorous theory. My older son studied composition there. He did his bachelor's in recording arts with a minor in composition and I know that he recorded a lot of original music while there for various students and faculty including Freund, Sandstrom, etc.
