Foreign Language & US History Req's

Hi. I'm a mom who homeschools my 4 kids and I'm trying to figure out the transfer system. My oldest is 15 (freshman). He's thinking of UCLA comp sci.

Since we homeschool privately (ie. not through a charter school), UCLA will not accept his high school transcript, so I'm looking into having him take CC classes, hopefully enough to transfer to UCLA as a junior when he's 18 (ie. after finishing his high school senior year). He's taking one this semester and it's going fine.

My question: Freshman applicants have a foreign language and US History requirement. Does that apply to transfer students as well? I'm under the impression that when you transfer, you don't show them a high school transcript at all. So it seems the for. lang & USH don't matter as a transfer.

Any thoughts?
