Bears and dogs, I'm sorry about MICA for you guys. SVA was my first choice and it was heartbreaking not to afford it. MICA will still be a stretch but with some luck it will be attainable. I just emailed my appeal letter today. The admissions office said they have been getting a lot of calls regarding scholarships/aid. My counselor was in a meeting, but will call back this afternoon. My parents are witholding their thoughts until this whole scholarship matter is definitive.

I will have to take out some loans, and my parents will probably have to stretch a little harder than they intended, but I am banking on the hopes that
a.) they will redistribute the scholarships turned down by the kids who don't attend MICA
b.) my sophomore-senior years will be cheaper if I can earn some of their returning student scholarships and can become an RA (free housing)
c.) they will consider my appeal favorably
