Philosophy minor for a science student...

I will be majoring in Neuroscience in the fall and I am thinking of minoring in Philosophy. I love philosophy, however I heard philosophy requires lots and lots of reading/writing. Now, I normally don't enjoy reading unless it's about something I really love. Is it true that Philosophy courses have an extreme amount of reading and writing? Will this in any way hinder me in my pre-med path (in terms of time consumption)
