| My son was also waitlisted. Apparently the decision was made yesterday(4/16). He had stats similar to neuromom's son. Interesting to think that a student qualifys for an Adams scholarship but doesn't get admitted. My son had made up his mind that he did not want to go to UMASS. He stupidly thought it wasn't good enough for him. He has some good options available to him, thank goodness! I feel really badly for students who were counting on going to UMASS or students who needed to go there because they did not get enough financial aid somewhere else. I think the guidance counselor's at MA high schools now have to tell kids that if they want to go to UMASS, they need to apply early action |
