| I'd say skip the meal plan - I have no idea what my kids pay for food (I don't subsidize that -- they have to buy their own) -- but I did buy my son a $20 rice cooker to start off the first year he was on his own for feeding himself. You can do a lot with care packages when the kids are on their own; ship them a box filled with staples like pasta & canned tuna from time to time. |
