I can almost guarantee you will get a B in some class. For example, I've gotten straight A+'s my entire life. Then this year (I'm a soph), because I'm in some classes people my age won't take for another 2 years, I got a couple Bs.
But I also go to an extremely (if not the most competitive) school. Almost nobody from my school graduates with straight A's. And the people who get into great school (Harvard, for example), get a B or two almost every year.

And as a freshman, I'd say you have no way of predicting whether you'll be val. So stop worrying about it. You can get freaked out about it next year, when you have a better sense of your rank (so many people get A's freshmen year... but not that many get straight A's sophomore year.).
