| Marketing research is just about the most boring marketing job one can get. Marketing is definitely a "business degree" but starting salaries are definitely lower than finance/accounting/MIS.
Even so, graduates of MBA programs make good money as brand managers (a marketing position). However, you do not necessarily need a marketing background (either undergrad or post graduate work experience) to get a job like that (just an MBA with a focus in marketing). |
